Wordress.org has recently released Wordpress 2.8 aptly named ‘Baker’. The significant changes in which it includes syntax highlighting for theme/plugin editing, a theme installer, and a great revamped widgets interface and API and more.

This blog is all about the ramblings of a “Batang Yagit” or in english “Ragged Street Kid” which in reality is just the opposite of the persona he uses. The name person behind the Batang Yagit blog is Winston Almendras, though I barely knew the guy but from the blogs he has made, he’s a well accomplish blog writer and a nice friend. This blog of his talks about his everyday life, experiences in school , some activities with fellow bloggers and some money making opportunities. As of late he blog about his activities with the Usual Suspects, an elite group of bloggers here in Mindanao in which he now a part of group.

Recently, blogs have been credited with everything from CBS News anchorman Dan Rather’s departure, to unauthorized previews of the latest Apple Computer products, to new transparency in presidential campaigns. The big question is whether blogs, short for Web logs, have the staying power to become more than just online diaries.
Just this morning, I signed up for the 2000 Bloggers community. For those of you who don’t know, 2k Bloggers is a blogging community created by bloggers worldwide. You may ask “Whats the 2K Bloggers Community’s purpose?” It’s really S.I.M.P.L.E. (See, Invite, Mingle, Participate, Learn, Engage).
I was inspire to joined this community because it’s considered ”the elite” in the blogosphere community and I like to meet other bloggers on the blogosphere. I have some of my colleagues at work that are known members of this community (actually they are the reason why I joined this community).
