Dropbox

As someone who works with several different computers throughout the day, Dropbox is one of the few software applications I install on each one of them. Dropbox is a free application that lets you sync all of your files online & across all of your computers, whether they are joggling Windows, Mac or Linux.
A free Dropbox account gives you 2 gigabytes of storage which is good enough for more people. It’s simple to use and I can’t imagine working without it now. Download it today and start incorporating Dropbox into your workflow.

300px-canon_eos_5d_mark_ii_with_50mm_14

I was surprised to read from Wikipedia that the season finale of “House” titled “Help Me” was shot using a Digital SLR camera specifically the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Episode director Greg Yaintanes has quote saying that this particular camera is “the future” of digital photography as well as videography and it allowed the production team to work in very tight spaces, using minimal lighting, while also offering a very shallow depth of field. My curiosity was aroused as I quickly search the detailed specification of the EOS 5D Mark II.

According to the the Wikipedia entry “The 5D Mark II is the first camera in the EOS line to provide video recording functions. Still photography during video recording is possible, but the camera suspends recording video until the final still frame is captured.

google-webm

Google officially announced the forthcoming release of an open source, royalty-free video format called WebM. Using the VP8 codec that Google acquired from On2 last February, the format is backed by fellow browser makers Mozilla and Opera.

In April, rumors about the open sourcing of VP8 started to take off, but the implications of what VP8 — and now WebM — might mean has been somewhat clouded by the bigger battle between Apple and Adobe over HTML5, Flash and the future of mobile platforms.

While WebM is not currently part of the HTML5 spec, it will be added as a supported part of the tag for the Chrome, Firefox and Opera browsers.

chrome

On the heels of news that the Google Chrome Web browser is gaining market share while Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser is losing ground, both companies took the wraps off faster, next-generation browsers Wednesday.
