Here’s a nice video that my co-worker Jerky Ong share to over Yahoo Messenger. It’s about an experiment when overclocking AMD Phenom II X4 processors using liquid Nitrogen and liquid Helium. The results where overwhelmingly impressive.

The last quarter numbers from Microsoft are out and it’s not looking very good. As such, Microsoft has announced it will lay off 5,000 workers in the next 18 months including the 1,800 it sent out the door earlier today.
After my successful upgrade yesterday, I shifted my focus on changing this blog’s look since it’s been I while that I change themes and I finally found this Tech 2.0 theme which goes along with my blog’s niche which is Technology

After almost a year of not upgrading Wordpress, I finally gave in and upgraded Wordpress from version 2.2.2 to 2.7. What made me decide to upgrade? the plugin upgrades.
I do not always upgrade my plugins because it takes time for me to download a newer version and upload them to the site unlike now that you only need to click the “upgrade” link and Wordpress will do the rest

I wrote this because my Sony DSC-S40 is getting those “white blank LCD screen” problems every now and then and the remedy of “tapping the front of the camera” might not be a good solution for long.
So I have decided that I need to get a new point and shoot camera (buying a dSLR is still one of plans but that can wait for now). From what I have read so far the Canon PowerShot A620 and Canon PowerShot SD850 are the ones that I’m intereste.

With Windows 7 not yet ready ’til next year, there are two options you can experience it now: First is you can download Windows 7 beta and install it on your computer and as of this writing Microsoft has extends Windows 7 Beta availability until January 24th.
