What is Global Positioning System? (GPS)
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite navigation system that was developed to determine a precise location almost anywhere on Earth. The technology has since matured into further reaching applications ?monitor the movement of people and things, create maps of the world, get directions without having to stop and ask for help, and be able to tell time with perfect accuracy. Harness the power of satellite navigation and track the movement of your car or truck with a GPS Vehicle Tracking System.
What is a GPS Tracking Unit?
A GPS Tracking unit is a device that uses the Global Positioning System to determine the precise location of a vehicle, person, or other asset to which it is attached and to record the position of the asset at regular intervals. The recorded location data can be stored within the tracking unit, or it may be transmitted to a central location data base, or internet-connected computer, using a cellular (GPRS), radio, or satellite modem embedded in the unit. This allows the asset’s location to be displayed against a map backdrop either in real-time or when analysing the track later, using customized software.
If you have a GPS tracking device, what would you do about it? Personally I will use this for security of my automobile encase it gets carjacked or on to my luggage when I travel.

I recently read an post from Jon Reagan’s Blog that Ubuntu has becoming “equal” to Linux. Personally speaking, Ubuntu’s popularity has been a major factor for consumers to choose linux as an alternative operating system for their computers in place of Windows or Mac.
Also other Linux distribution didn’t make much of an effort to promote their own respective products because, in my opinion, they don’t want to their product to become more mainstream.
